Good responses--I think we're both going to need to be very firm in these meetings. We have a lot of divas attending, and it will be a challenge!

Diane

P.S. I think we need an announcement for speakers and one for the participants.  I'll try to draft something today. At this point we should be announcing the recording to participants--the speakers already know. The recording announcement also needs to go out on the lists.

Everyone at the meeting is encouraged to contribute, of course, but we
don't want to interrupt the direction and flow of discussion. And it is
discussion we want, to identify issues and then tasks that the Group thinks
are feasible and worth carrying out.

I'm happy to accept one or two slides with bullet-points about issues, but
not presentations about the topic; there isn't enough time, and that kind
of information can always be obtained off-meeting (at lunch, via email,
etc.).

So if you or any other delegate wants to email me a slide or two with
bullet-points, which can act as an aide-memoire or stimulus for discussion,
by all means do so. I can put everything into a single PPT file. We don't
want to interrupt proceedings by loading USB sticks during the meeting. And
I won't guarantee that slides will actually be shown - only if the
discussion warrants it!

For similar reasons, the order of specific topics within an agenda item is
not fixed, "includes" topics are not exclusive, and not every topic may be
discussed - but it is the meeting driving the agenda, not vice-versa.

Cheers

Gordon (who will be chairing the meeting)
