Dear colleagues,

This week at the archives accreditation dialogue (http://www.dialogue-app.com/archivesaccreditation), we are drawing together an overview of content of the draft standard. Dialogues have been opened for each of the three modules that make up the draft standard (Organisational Health, Collections and Users and Their Experiences). This is your chance to reflect on anything which has been omitted, and to review whether the standard reflects aspirations for strong archive services.

To open these particular dialogues without overwhelming the site with text, we’ve posted just the headlines for each module as they originally appeared in the ‘destruction draft’ (http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documents/information-management/archives-accreditation-discussion-draft-jan-2012.pdf). As you will have seen, the last 10 weeks of dialogue have moved us a long way from that original discussion text, but this seems like a good moment to consider the big picture and whether we haven’t had space to discuss anything critical. You’re more than welcome to go beyond the headlines in discussions.

Feedback on the eligibility criteria and on appropriate workforce is also available, as are the dialogues and feedback opened last week – these latter will close in a few days, so if you have anything essential to add, please join the debate soon!

Best,

Melinda
