H = 0.7 is the figure we use. There is a problem if you have a track. The HIL will not be applied until after the folate result is available unless there is a c8000 of c16000 request as well. We get around this by having a dummy test SFHIL which adds a non reportable sodium request to any folate which does not already have a sodium. This allows the HIL to be done first.
If you use a ci16200 or c18200 this is not necessary.

Non - Architect users will not understand this so I apologise.

Subject: Haemolysis index and serum folate on Abbott Architect

Hi all,

Just a quick query (and apologies to Mailbase users who don't have this
instrumentation).

We've just switched over to Abbott serum folate from red cell folate and
wonder at what Architect haemolysis index users are knocking out the SF
value.

Regards,
Iain
