This email is part of a series giving snapshots of activities planned for Focus 2012 <http://www.focus-acb.org.uk/> in Liverpool from 30th April to 3rd May The Flynn Lecture at Focus 2012 will be delivered by Dr Dennis O'Reilly, Clinical Lead of the Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Immunology for NHS GG&C North Glasgow University Hospitals and Director of the Scottish Trace Element and Micronutrient Reference Laboratory. Dr O'Reilly will review his research in investigating the effect of inflammation on biochemical markers of nutritional status and will discuss how the interpretation of results in the clinical setting might be affected.
