The sale will be in two parts, on Wednesday 18 April (“Medical Books, 1500-1800”) and Thursday 26 July (“Medical Books, Pamphlets & Manuscripts, 1670-1920 plus Pictures & Medical Artefacts”). The catalogue for the first part will be available (for £25) from 26 March, so there is not much time to act, particularly as viewing will be “week of sales 9am-6pm each day and at other times strictly by appointment”. (These and further details at http://www.dominicwinter.co.uk/) I suggest that we should all be contacting appropriate libraries and repositories to inform them of this opportunity, as it’s in our collective interest to ensure that as many as possible of these materials are purchased by libraries rather than by private collectors.
