We are looking at ways of supporting academic staff with regard to sabbaticals – preparation, during the sabbatical and return.  Sabbaticals are quite a new thing for us here although of course they have been common for decades in some universities!

I would be very pleased to hear of any processes you have in place  to support staff in making the most of sabbaticals and trying to make then as effective as possible.  If you know of any publications on this topic I would also be pleased to hear about them.
