Our take on York County's online transparency efforts - what do you think? - The York Daily Record
York County government is slowly, byte-by-byte, nibbling its way into the digital age.
York County President Judge Steven Linebaugh has been at the
vanguard of opening courtrooms to instantaneous reporting. He has
permitted reporters to use tablets and other electronic devices to tweet
or "live blog" court cases. That allows taxpayers to get blow-by-blow
reporting of high-interest cases. (Unfortunately, Pennsylvania's Supreme
Court might soon put an end to that.)
