Dear all,

I would be grateful if you would forward this link to any smokers you know who might be willing to take part in a very short study. This is an UG project for a student I am supervising and is proving to be a very difficult group to recruit!  Happy to participate in return or forward anything on around my own networks.

Many thanks,

Amy

Subject: Multi-level modelling course enquiry

Hi All,

I’m looking to go on a course that would teach me multi-level modelling and in particular growth curve modelling. I’d be really interested to hear recommendations from anyone who knows of such a course and/or has been on one, ideally in the UK or Europe? One that provides “after care” for questions or queries afterwards would be particularly appealing.

Many Thanks,

Kathryn

Subject: Subject: from Linda K. Berkeley, B.A., BSc., MBPsS: RE: UK Trainee and Clinical Psychologists: Will you participate in my pilot study?

I would really appreciate it if you could forward the below mail to everyone on the list:

Subject: from Linda K. Berkeley, B.A., BSc., MBPsS: RE: UK Trainee and Clinical Psychologists: Will you participate in my pilot study?

Message: My name is Linda K. Berkeley and I’m a Trainee Counselling Psychologist Enrolee on the BPS Independent Route (QCoP). Currently I’m studying for an MSc. in Mental Health: Psychological Therapies at Queen Mary, University of London. My research supervisor is Dr. Ken Carswell.

For the pilot, I need UK Trainee Clinical Psychologists and Chartered Clinical Psychologists.

The aim of the pilot is to test out the questionnaires. After each questionnaire, there is a comment box. We would appreciate any comments you have on the questionnaires, for example, good or not so good questions, length of questions, clarity of   questions, how long it took to complete etc. If you decide that you don't want to finish the questions, we would appreciate any comments you have on your reasons for not finishing.

The main study will be an exploratory study into the attitudes of Chartered Counselling Psychologists and Trainee Counselling Psychologists towards working with substance misuse.

I would be extremely grateful (and be willing to participate in your study when you do one) if you would participate in my study by going to the link below:

It should take you about 30 minutes to complete. There are a number of quantitative questions and a short qualitative section.

All information that you give in the questionnaires is completely confidential and will be stored in accordance with the Data Protection Act, 1998 and all information will be entirely anonymous.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact me at [log in to unmask] with the understanding that contacting me will disrupt your anonymity.

Thank you for taking the time to read this! I hope you enjoy the experience of participating in this research.

Sincerely, Linda
