Clothworkers’ Associate in Mathematics
Salary: circa £30k-£33k per annum
Vacancy Type: Permanent, full time (35 hours per week)
As a member of the Ri Maths team, the Clothworkers’
Associate in Mathematics will work with the Clothworkers’ Fellow in
running the Ri’s mathematics programme, with particular responsibility
for secondary masterclasses. This will involve supporting secondary UK
masterclass groups, and assisting with mathematics events for the Ri’s
Science for Schools and Public programmes.
The successful candidate should have enthusiasm for
enriching the mathematical experience of young people and be able to attract
and maintain the goodwill of volunteers and partner organisations that form the
mainstay of the Ri’s mathematics programme. Alongside experience of
teaching skills, ideally at secondary level, the ideal candidate should have
demonstrable skills in organisation and time management and have the ability to
work on their own initiative and also to work as part of a team. As the
position will include coordinating masterclasses that take place on
Saturdays around the UK, the ideal candidate will need to be comfortable with
both Saturday working and travel. Time off in lieu will be given for Saturday
working.
