In my world there was a move a few years back to say that all prospective prison officers would have to show evidence of up to date Hep B and also that they had evidence of having had a BCG. I believe I said my bit at the time, but this was after I fell off my chair laughing. Cant see that this is workable.

No and I have visions of mass strikes by unions if we suggested same… I don’t know of any NHS unit that does

 

Some of the universities are starting to do this but even then its not wide spread and they aren't even 'employees'.

Do any of your trusts require staff to be fully immunised/screened prior to a contract of employment? (ie so they would have to pay for any vaccinations/blood tests before they can start work)?
