Dera All

Find attached a costing model a management accountant did for me.

Cost inputs page:

·         You need to decide how many days you are working per year to earn your money over, as self-employed don’t get holiday pay so you have to have a higher hourly rate to compensate. Put into B3

·         How many hours are you working in a day put into B4

·         You then populate page one column B with all your costs - you may need to check with an accountant or the IR about NI etc.

·         Add a percentage profit margin into B37

·         It will work out your hourly and minute cost with profit (you can take out profit and look at calculations to enusre you NEVER make a loss)

Unit Price page

·         Calculate how long things take both patient facing and admin and this will work out an item cost.

·         I've left some blank lines for you to make your own items up.

·         Market Test to ensure you are hitting right target.

·         Ensure any consumables are either accounted for or clearly identifed as not included.

·         Don’t forget travel time and costs.

And good luck.

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] OHA fees

Seems to be a taboo topic that nobody will openly talk about!

Interested to hear the fees that OHA charge for one day's work

I guess this could vary if case management, health surveillance, training etc

But in general would like to know the usual rates charged for this work - daily self employed rate or agency rate

Pls share if you can any info on this - maybe you have booked someone and know a rate

Thank You

John
