The historical intersection between mathematicians and theism is rich in culture and character. This weekend event will be made up of talks surveying a diverse and fascinating range of topics including the sect of the Pythagoreans, Newton’s views on the apocalypse, Charles Dodgson’s Anglican faith and Gödel’s proof of the existence of God. Speakers include Andrew Gregory (UCL), Jean-Pierre Brach (École Pratique des Hautes Études Sciences Religieuses, Paris), Robin Wilson (Pembroke College, Oxford), Rob Illife (University of Sussex), Massimo Mazzotti (University of California, Berkeley) and others.
