 Just a reminder about 3 high profile Media Reform events:


 1. TAKING ON THE PRESS BARONS - HOW CAN WE MAKE THE MEDIA FREE FOR ALL?
 Saturday 17th March, 10-4pm, TUC Congress House, 23-28 Great Russell
 Street, London WC1B 3LS.
 Speakers include Harriet Harman (shadow secretary for Culture, Media
 and Sport), Frances O'Grady (TUC Deputy General Secretary), Michelle
 Stanistreet (NUJ General Secretary), James Curran (CCMR chair).

 2. THE BATTLE FOR INDEPENDENT JOURNALISM - A BATTLE AGAINST CAPITALISM?
 Tuesday 3rd April, 7pm, Chancellor's Hall, Senate House, Malet Street,
 London W1.
 Lessons from the USA with Bob McChesney, founder of 'Free Press', the
 US campaign for media reform.

 3. RALLY FOR MEDIA REFORM
 Thursday 17th May, 6-8pm, Aldersgate Room, Wesminster Central Hall,
 London SW1H 9NH.
 Invited speakers include a cross-section of celebrities, victims,
 campaigners and politicians who will gather together to voice their
 views about what a
 democratic and accountable media means. The event will be well-timed to
 coincide with a burgeoning public debate over the future of British
 media stemming from module 3 of the Leveson Inquiry and the
 communications green paper consultation.
