McChesney is the author of many books on media and politics including 'The Death and Life of American Journalism' (with John Nichols), 'Rich Media, Poor Democracy' and 'The Problem of the Media'. He is professor of communication at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and host of the weekly talk show, Media Matters, on WILL-AM radio.
