The Career Development Group and London and
South East Divisions AGM will be conducted on this evening. This is a free
event open to both members and non-members of the Career Development Group.
This is a chance for members to network and meet committee members in the
prestigious setting of the Weston Room at King’s College Maughan Library.
In addition there will be a keynote speech
from Bethan Ruddock in her role as part of Cilip’s Future Skills Project.
Bethan is the author of the New Professional’s Toolkit and member
of the CILIP Future Skills Project Board. She will talk about what this means
for members’ personal and professional development. The Future Skills project
is reviewing CILIP’s suite of qualifications, and making sure that they are
robust, sustainable, and relevant to CILIP members in the 21st
Century. Bethan will give an update and overview of the Project to date, and
talk about some of the implications for members involved in CILIP
qualifications or structured CPD. There will be a chance for attendees to give
feedback and ask questions about the Project.
