Interlend 2012

The Forum for Interlending and Information Delivery (FIL) are delighted to confirm that the only UK annual conference specifically for and about the world of inter-library loans, Interlend 2012, will take place on the 25th-26th June 2012 at the University of Worcester.  Once again this will be an essential opportunity for inter-lending staff to meet, exchange news and best practice experiences with their colleagues across the public, academic and special library sectors.  Accommodation for delegates is in the highly desirable Platinum Plus grade accommodation and the conference is centred around the City Campus location, making it an ideal stepping off point for exploring Worcester and the surrounding area.

Speakers and Theme

The core conference theme for 2012 is “Keeping our customers satisfied: Interlending in a changing world”, and as always the focus will be on providing practical guidance and advice from enthusiastic and knowledgeable speakers from throughout the profession.  There will also be an exclusive preview tour of the award winning and ground-breaking first fully integrated Public and University library, The Hive (Worcester Library and History Centre), which is due to open in July 2012.  Final speaker and workshop leaders will be announced in mid-April, and FIL welcomes approaches from the Interlending community to speak and/or run breakout sessions and workshop sessions
