The following job advert may be of interest to some on the list (Oxford
is making increasing use of Shibboleth for intra-institutional access
management):

Systems Developer (Access Management) [two posts]

Grade: 8
Salary: £37,012 - £44,166
Fixed-term to 30 April 2013 in the first instance.

Would you enjoy the challenge of making authentication and authorisation
solutions work within a complex enterprise environment? We are seeking
two systems developers to make a significant contribution to the
development and deployment of solutions for the integration of key IT
systems with standards-based identity and access management services.

The University Administration and Services Access Management Project is
a strategic project within the University to investigate and provide
solutions to integrate enterprise applications with the University's
central identity and access management services. The post-holders will
work alongside the technical teams responsible for providing the
authentication and authorisation services and University administration
systems (e.g. financials, student records, business intelligence).

The ideal candidate will have experience of systems development and
integration for both Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms. We are
particularly seeking applicants with a good understanding of
authentication and authorisation protocols and standards (e.g. Kerberos,
SAML, LDAP), including those supported by Active Directory. Familiarity
with IT systems design, implementation, and management in a service
environment is also required. The posts offer an excellent opportunity
to gain in-depth experience in addressing the challenges of deploying
access management solutions within a federated enterprise environment.

There are many advantages to working at the University other than the
world-class research culture. Benefits include flexible working, an
excellent pension, career prospects and generous holiday provision.

Apply now online, ensuring that you address each of the selection
criteria in your supporting statement.

In order to apply for this role and for further details, including a job
description and selection criteria, please visit the University
recruitment site: Systems Developer (Access Management) post.

The closing date for applications is 12:00 noon (GMT) Monday 2nd April
2012. Interviews are expected to take place in the week commencing 16th
April 2012.
