Community Engagement Officer
Fixed Term until 31 March 2015 - 35 hours per week
Salary Range £25,203 to £27,826 per annum

Are you passionate about improving access to collections and heritage for a diverse range of
audiences?  Are you experienced in engaging community groups through a variety of collaborative and
creative programmes?

You could play a key role in audience development at the Horniman.
In particular, to facilitate the active participation of local community groups in a range of
activities that draw on the Horniman's world-wide collections and gardens.
This role will join us at an exciting time, when we will be carrying out a large-scale review of
our internationally significant Ethnography collections, involving both a range of
professionals and community members.

This position requires a motivated and organised team player with proven experience in
sustaining effective partnerships with local community organisations and who also has the
ability to work appropriately and sensitively with a diverse range of audiences.
