Learning Unlimited would like to invite you to the FREE

Welcome to the UK project

Year 2 dissemination event

Friday 25th  May 2012

10.00 am - 3.30pm

Avonmouth House, 6 Avonmouth Street, London SE1 6NX

This FREE event is will be an opportunity for colleagues to join us in a day of practical and informative workshops which explore teaching and learning approaches, issues and opportunities for supporting integration.

The programme will include workshops on:

·      bringing the outside into the ESOL classroom

·      teaching basic literacy to ESOL learners

·      applying for funding from the UK Border Agency

·      the British Council ESOL NEXUS project

·      supporting women who are victims of domestic violence

·      what we can learn about integration from women in Bangladesh

Welcome to the UK is:

·      a 3-year European Integration Fund project which supports the integration of women originating from countries outside the EU

·      managed by Learning Unlimited, the social enterprise taking forward the work of LLU+

·      funded in Year 2 by the European Integration Fund, the Institute of Education, Morley College and London Borough of Southwark

·      run in partnership with Morley College, the London Borough of Southwark, the UK Bangladesh Education Trust (UKBET), InsightShare and volunteers in the UK and Bangladesh.
