Dear members, Please see below details of a forthcoming webinar from projects in the JISC Curriculum Design programme around their experiences of institutional change. Managing large-scale organisational change: lessons and approaches from the JISC Curriculum Design programme Mon 14th May 12.30-13.30 Institutional Approaches to Curriculum Design<http://www.jisc.ac.uk/curriculumdesign>, a 4 year JISC programme which completes this year, explores ways by which technology can make the institutional systems and processes underpinning curriculum design more efficient, flexible and adaptive - systems such as those used in review, validation and audit; learning and assessment; course documentation and marketing information; the allocation and management of teaching spaces and other resources, and administration of learner records and interoperability of this data with other systems. As the name of the programme suggests, these are large-scale projects looking to effect transformational change at an institutional level. Drawing on their experiences in the programme and using examples from their own institutions, participants will present some high level but practical recommendations on how to go about large-scale change management projects in universities. The session will be chaired by consultant in e-learning Helen Beetham, who will be assisting the audience to put probing questions to the participants about the thinking behind their conclusions and the advice they would offer to others. Those taking part will be members of one of the clusters of institutions in the Curriculum Design Programme including Oliver Jenkins, Birmingham City University; Stephen Griffiths, Cardiff University; Pam Parker, City University London; Claire Eustance, Greenwich University, and Stephen Brown, the cluster's Critical Friend.
