I agree with Helen. Surely tweeting is simply a modern day iteration of 'parrhesia' a concept Foucault wrote at lengths about. In a system where you still have predominantly old white men presiding over the 'rest of us' surely anything that gives people a voice and a feeling of free speech (particularly younger people and others who historically may not have been involved?) is a good thing?

Ididnotreport is full of mainly women flagging up their experiences of abuse mainly at the hands of men as children and adults. It is interspersed with feminist narratives. Sobering and affirming for the women posting? No voting involved!
