The Computer Arts Society & Visualise Cambridge (with support from RCA) presents:

Alessandro Ludovico - artist, media critic, founding contributor to nettime.org and editor-in-chief of Neural magazine since 1993.

14th March 2012:   6.00 for 6.30 pm
Club Room, October Gallery, 24 Old Gloucester Street, Bloomsbury, London WC1N 3AL

Neural Magazine will be 20 years old in 2013. How has an independent magazine about media art survived the internet, the paper costs and the crisis? Alessandro Ludovico will describe the evolution of Neural through the last couple of decades, and how it embodied the intertwined relationships between online and offline publishing, which he extensively researched in an upcoming book. Finally he'll explain his adventures as an artist on the critical side of net.art with the Hacking Monopolism trilogy of artworks.
