BBC Documentary production, late 40s to late 60s.

Dear Tim

I should try Dr. Leo Enticknap here at ICS, Leeds.  He has done some considerable research on Rotha. You might also try John Corner, Emeritus Prof here also.

Best wishes

Ian macdonald

Dear all,

I’m asking a literature question.

I’m writing a piece on the career and influence on TV documentary of people who started in documentary film: Rotha, Duncan Ross, Michael Orrom, Ramsay Short.

I’m just wondering what has been written on TV documentary since Elaine Bell’s useful piece, 'The Origins of British Television Documentary: The BBC 1946-55', in J Corner (ed.), Documentary and the Mass Media (London: Edward Arnold, 1986), 65-80.

If you know anything else good, I’d be delighted to have the reference.

Tim
