Llwydni: Y Goblygiadau Cyfreithiol a'r Goblygiadau o ran Cadwraeth ac Iechyd

Mae presenoldeb llwydni a llwch sy'n cael effaith andwyol ar adeiladau, casgliadau ac ar iechyd y bobl sydd ynddynt yn broblem i'r rhan fwyaf o amgueddfeydd, archifau a llyfrgelloedd. Mae'n allweddol ein bod yn ymdrin â'r llwydni a'r llwch yn y modd cywir, gan ystyried y goblygiadau o ran iechyd a diogelwch a'r goblygiadau cyfreithiol.
Bydd CyMAL yn cynnal cynhadledd undydd am ddim ynghylch llwydni a llwch mewn casgliadau yng Ngwesty'r Maldron yng Nghaerdydd ar 20 Ebrill 2012.
Caiff y gynhadledd ei harwain gan Dr Jagjit Singh, EBS Building Solutions Ltd a Bob Child. Ymysg y pynciau a drafodir fydd:
*	Y cysylltiad rhwng llwydni a'r amgylchedd;
*	Y goblygiadau o ran cadwraeth ac iechyd a'r goblygiadau cyfreithiol;
*	Atal risg llwydni, ac
*	Ymdrin â lleithder a phydredd sych mewn adeiladau hanesyddol.
	Bydd y gynhadledd hon yn werthfawr iawn i unrhyw sefydliad sydd eisoes wedi gorfod ymdrin â llwydni, neu sydd wrthi'n ystyried gwneud hynny, o fewn ei adeilad a'i gasgliad.

	Mould: Conservation, Health and Legal Implications

	The presence of mould and dust adversely affecting buildings, collections and the health of the occupants is a problem the majority of museums, archives and libraries will face. The main challenge is dealing with mould and dust in the correct way, taking into consideration the health and safety and legal implications.
	CyMAL is hosting a free one day conference on mould and dust in collections at the Maldron Hotel Cardiff on 20th April 2012.
	The day will be lead by Dr Jagjit Singh, EBS Building Solutions Ltd and Bob Child. The topics to be covered include:
*	the relationship between mould and the environment;
*	Conservation, health and legal implications;
*	preventing the risk of mould, and
*	dealing with damp and dry rot in historic buildings.
This conference will be of value to any institution that has faced or is in the process of considering an approach to dealing with mould, both within the building environment and collection.
