This is one of the most stable and long term contracts offered in the UK market today - a very rare opportunity to join a market leading pharmaceutical on a contract basis.
There is the anticipation for this role to last for a minimum of 3 years.

CONTRACT: Biostatistician
Biostatistics & Epidemiology Department
6 - 12 Months Rolling Contract
£48 - £58 P/H

YOUR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Draft statistical text for study concept documents and protocols (study design, endpoints, sample size, methods for analysis)
Draft statistical analysis plans
Draft templates for tables, listings and graphs
Draft SDF dataset specifications
Assist in the review of key study-related documents produced by other functions (e.g. CRFs, Data Management Plans etc)
Write, test, validate and execute software programs to produce SDF datasets and tables, listings and graphs (mostly statistical analysis outputs, some descriptive outputs) for inclusion within CSRs, ISS / ISE, publications and other communications
Assist in the production of flash reports
Draft statistical text for CSRs, clinical publications and other communications
Contribute to statistical review and QC of CSRs, clinical publications and other communications
Interface with outsourcing partners and vendors
Assist in the review of Client Policies, SOPs and other controlled documents
Assist with study and systems audits by Client CQA and external bodies
Provide input to and participate in intra-departmental and global Biostatistics meetings
Stay abreast of latest developments in the field of statistics in drug development and contribute to scientific advances in the field
Promote and communicate statistical awareness and the role of the Biostatistics department (internal/external; scientific/process)

QUALIFICATIONS:
MSc or equivalent in Statistics or other subject with high statistical content

Observational Research
Epidemiology Studies

KNOWLEDGE:
Statistical Methodology
Development of policies and SOPs
