I'd take a look at my gPPI toolbox.

timeseries_extract.m has the necessary code for using a mask and selecting only significant voxels. It doesn't currently have an option for going to the nearest max or specifying a sphere.

It has the adjustment built into the code as well.

Dear SPM users,

I wish to write a script to extract eigenvariates from the same ROI for a large number of subjects.  There is a script for PPI on the spm website that includes a similar section (I've included this section of the script with the e-mail).  However, there are some changes I need to make, and I'm not sure of the Matlab commands.

  1. When selecting results for a SPM.mat file, how do I add a specification to mask the results with an image?
  2. When selecting co-ordinates for a VOI, what command selects the global maxima? (In the PPI script it specifies specific co-ordinates).
  3. When selecting a VOI, what command adjusts data for a contrast (e.g. effect of interest).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Kind regards,

Omar
