I did undertake a great project management course hosted by DSC a few years ago. http://www.dsc.org.uk/Home.

We use an independent film maker who also happens to be a science teacher and an ecologist.  I’m happy to provide contact details off list

Kind regards

Subject: [PSCI-COM] Request related to project management training and producing science communication videos

Dear colleagues,

I am looking for an expert in providing in-house training on Project management. Or if you know any organisation that provides training in Project Management that would be also useful. One of my organisation's (BGCI) projects, 'Communities in Nature' involves four botanic gardens developing their social role by engaging communities in activities related to environmental issues and climate change. BGCI is organising workshops for the gardens to support them and the next workshop will include a session on Project management. I was hoping that many of the colleagues in PSCI-COM list may have had project training as your work involves small or large scale projects so any recommendations are welcome.

I would also like to request if you know any film production companies which produce short science communication videos. Another project that BGCI is involved is called INQUIRE. This is an EU funded project which aims to reinvigorate inuiry-based science education by running teacher training courses in botanic gardens in 11 countries in Europe. As part of the dissemination activities of the project we would like to produce a short video so if you know any film production companies (preferably based in London) which would be appropriate for that sort of work please let me know.

Many thanks in advance,

Dr. Asimina Vergou
