RCUK Public Engagement with Research Policy Manager

Starting salary from £26,610 per annum + benefits

The Research Councils UK Public Engagement with Research (PER) Team develops and delivers joint strategy and policies, and public engagement programmes across the Research Councils.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Public Engagement with Research Policy Manager to join our team.

You will be responsible for delivering, coordinating and facilitating the development of a portfolio of team projects and providing support in development and implementation of future activities in these areas.

Operating in a dynamic environment, you will engage colleagues and build partnerships with the Research Councils and external stakeholders in Government departments and other key delivery organisations.

Educated to degree level, you will have a good understanding of issues relating to public engagement, research and secondary education. You will have the ability to network, negotiate, influence and facilitate dialogue and evaluate opportunities for collaborative working both among and between the Research Councils and other organisations.

An innovative and strategic thinker, you will possess strong team building skills and the ability to handle contentious issues with sensitivity and tact. With a proven track record in project management along with excellent interpersonal skills, you will possess the drive and enthusiasm to achieve results.
