Thank you for your reply Ken, I think quite a lot of other universities are using the placement year as you describe it. We certainly do at MMU. What I'm hunting for are examples of a shared spread of time throughout a course with periods in a company and periods in a university or school happening on a regular basis. The French BTS works on a three week on and off rythm for example.
