Aims:
To provide participants with practical information and knowledge so that they can create and implement a strategy for legacy fundraising within their organisation..

 

Content:
Legacies are a significant source of income for many third sector organisations, small and large, providing around £2 billion last year.   However there is much potential for growth in legacy fundraising.  Although 56 per cent of the public gave to charity in a typical month last year, only 7 per cent of those who die currently leave a legacy. This course explores how to maximise legacy fundraising opportunities.

 

Learning outcomes:
By attending this session you will:

•  Create a plan for legacy fundraising
•  Understand what motivates people to leave a legacy
•  Develop appropriate cases for support
•  Implement legacy fundraising activity
•  Ensure your organisation complies with relevant legislation and best practice
•  Know where to go for further information, help and advice


Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at those who are new to legacy fundraising.
