Call for contributions and an  update on communications from the  Art Design Media Subject Centre

The Department of Media Arts, at Royal Holloway, University of London, is seeking suitably qualified candidates for college-awarded Ph.D. scholarships. There are three awards, a Reid Scholarship (15,250 GBP plus home/EU fee waiver per year) and two Crosslands Scholarships (5,000 GBP plus home/EU fee waiver per year). Awards are held for three years of full time study.

 Full applications must be received by 29 February 2012 to be considered for award. Candidates must be available for interview at Egham, Surrey or in central London during March and April. Awards will be announced in early May.

MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. Membership is open to all who teach and research these subjects in HE institutions, via either institutional or individual membership. The field includes film and TV production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies.
