FWIW:
the (EPEL supplied) classads 1.0.8 provides libclassad.so.*1*()(64bit)
the glite classads 1.0-2 provides libclassad.so.*0*()(64bit)
the glite-ce-blahp 1.14.8 package can be found in the latest glite 3.2 
CREAM-CE list, so I am suspecting that Rodney is trying to install a 
glite 3.2 CREAM CE.

hence you cannot install/upgrade the glite supplied classads with the 
EPEL (EMI) supplies classads on a glite CREAM CE.

Solution: remove all yum references to EPEL repo's and try again.
