Mindfulness and Acceptance in Developmental Disabilities

Manuscripts are invited for a Special Issue of the journal Mindfulness on the use of mindfulness and acceptance-based interventions with children and adults with intellectual disability, autism or Asperger’s, and/or their family and paid carers. Papers on mindfulness and acceptance processes in individuals with developmental disabilities or their carers would also be relevant. Submissions might include empirical research studies, clinical reports, descriptions of model programs/interventions, and authoritative reviews of evidence.

 

Papers should be submitted through the online system for the journal by 31 March 2012. The special issue will be published in the December issue of 2012.

 

Please follow the guidelines for submitting manuscripts found on the journal web site (http://www.springer.com/psychology/journal/12671 Manuscripts should be prepared according to the 6th edition of the APA Publication Manual, with the cover page formatted as per the sample on the journal’s web page.  Please remember to indicate on the submission Web site that you wish to have your manuscript considered for the Special Issue on Mindfulness and Acceptance in Developmental Disabilities.
