Department of German, King’s College, London

two permanent lectureships in German.

 

These two appointments are for candidates with research and teaching expertise in any area of German literary, cultural or sociolinguistic studies, though specialists in any historical period from the medieval period on will be considered. The Department would particularly welcome applications from specialists in medieval literature, language and culture; in sociolinguistics; or in any area of contemporary German literary or cultural studies, including digital media, performance, visual culture, or medical humanities.

The successful candidates will be members of the German Department. They will have an excellent record of research in their specialist areas, as well as proven ability to contribute to the teaching and administration of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in German. The appointees will contribute to the Department's language teaching, and provide pastoral support to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
