Yes,I am an individual research scientiest only without any technical education but observing it from last 25 years.
According to current understanding kerogen is formed from deceased animals and organic matter from surface.and my experiments shows it is a compound formed by another method (I know it) and fossils had been strucked in this sticky compound only and nothing to produce it.so there is a big gap of basic understanding only.I have observed this compound has direct relation with petroleum and that is the only reason drillers are getting oil near by.
