The newly created Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery Trust aims to be “..one of the leading and most influential arts and cultural institution in Cumbria...” To help achieve this aim the Trust is seeking a highly creative, experienced and well organised individual to take on the newly created position of Programming Manager. The postholder will work within the Collections and Programming team and will have responsibility for the Museum’s high profile and popular education, exhibitions and events programme.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and developing a programme that will focus of access and engagement. The post is a mixture of strategic and operational so as well as planning and researching you will also be expected to deliver education sessions and mount exhibitions.

You will be expected to have an appropriate post-graduate qualification and have experience of both organising / developing museum or gallery exhibitions and teaching in a school or museum environment.

Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery has an excellent track record in both learning and access and exhibition development; this key post will be responsible for developing a team and a programme that can take the organisation to the next level.
