Many thanks, I’ll see if it can be added to their ‘to do’ list.

The current Kaltura building block (version 2.0.15) does not
define any Mashup component so is not accessible via the VTBE.
It defines some custom tools, content types and portal/course
modules.

Hi all,
Apologies to partially highjack this, but does anyone know if
Kaltura can integrate with the 9.1 Grade Centre as a mash up? I’ve seen
integration in the Course Content Areas but not the Grade Centre specifically.
We are currently on Bb v9.0 but hopefully looking to move on up soon.
We had tried to use Wimba Voice for student assignment feedback
but it was the lack of integration in the Grade Centre that really made things
rather tricky and lead us to drop the product eventually.
Kind regards,
Tim

Hi Malcolm
We’ve been using Wimba Voice integrated into Blackboard content
areas for a number of years. However, our upgrade to Bb v9.1 SP6 in the summer
has opened up a whole range of opportunities as you can now integrate Voice
Authoring as a mash-up. We originally used Wimba Voice Email to provide
audio feedback to students but, as you point out, you can now use it to provide
audio feedback via the Grade Centre.
I’ve copied Alex Spiers in, since he has done most of the work
with Wimba Voice here at LJMU. He’s on leave but back in the office tomorrow.
Best wishes
Alice

I’m looking for anyone who
has experience of the Wimba Voice Tools (now swallowed up in the behemoth that
is Bb Collaborate).
We are wondering if they
could help staff provide audio feedback via the Grade Centre. A quick play on
CourseSites suggests it just might!
I’m keen to hear your
experiences of this tool and whether you think it is value for money.
Happy for replies to go to
the list or directly to me ([log in to unmask]) and I collate them and post a
summary.
If you are willing to share
ball-park costs off-list that would be extremely helpful.
Thanks in advance,
Malcolm.
