Conference: Critical Issues in Public Health Funding
1st March 2012,
Euston Square, London

This conference is bringing together finance people from Local Authorities and Public Health professionals and analysts. The aims are to explain the process of transfer of public health funds to LAs, to discuss opportunities to improve health outcomes under the new arrangements, and to consider the  information that would help that process.

It is being jointly organised by CIPFA (the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy) and PHAST (the Public Health Action Support Team).

Keynote presentations will be given by Ruth Hussey: Interim Director of Public Health at the transition team for Public Health England and David Hunter: Director and Professor of Health Policy and Management, Durham University who will give their insight into the future.

There will also be the chance to meet with Local Authority colleagues to discuss the
changes

The conference will be of particular interest to public health professionals and analysts involved in the move of public health functions to Local Authorities. You may wish to share the details of this with others in your organisation
