RSS Highland Local Group Meeting, Thursday 10th May 2012, 3.30-5pm, Medical School, Aberdeen ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Title and Speaker: The Development of the use of Statistics in the Census and the Future of the Census Professor Ian Diamond, Principal of the University of Aberdeen Abstract: This talk provides a brief history of the census, looks at the development of the acceptance that census counts were subject to error, and describes strategies used to make census estimates.
