Dear Rachel

I had a similar query from our rheumatologists last year.  The pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Aventis who sell the drug in the UK(under the name Arava) paid for the 2 samples to be sent away for analysis abroad (?Holland) by a company called Eurofins Medinet.  The number for Sanofi-Aventis is 01483 505515.

Best wishes
Vicky

Subject: Leflunomide measurement

Dear all

I have a query from a rheumatologist who has a woman on Leflunomide wishing to get pregnant. There is a washout procedure which shortens the duration of the advised time to wait before attempting conception but in the prescribing information it states levels should be monitored and be <20ug/L on two occasions. Assay finder and the usual websites have drawn a blank. Does anyone know where we could get this analysed in the UK?
