There are lots of people on this xerteforteachers list who aren't on the xerte technical list or developer list so although this is technical info I think it's worth repeating here... Towards the end of 2011 it seems there were changes at YouTube.com which resulted in an issue with the existing YouTube page in Xerte and Xerte Online Toolkits. New and existing LO's which use the YouTube page would show the YouTube clip first flashing on screen larger than required and then snapping back to the usual size or depending on version not snapping back at all. Arguably not a major problem but not a desirable effect and certainly not pleasing to the eye. Julian Tenney has just posted an updated YouTube.rlm file to the Xerte Technical mailing list so I have re-attached that here. Thanks Julian! You'll need to ask whoever looks after your Xerte Toolkits installation to copy the attached file to \modules\xerte\parent_templates\Nottingham\models\YouTube.rlm replacing the existing file. For users of the JISC Techdis Sandpit the updated file is already in place. Thanks also to the other Julian (Julian Prior) and Susan Parnell for sharing the OER Xerte examples including download files! It would be great if during 2012 the community on this xerteforteachers adopted a new year's resolution to share more examples via this list. ;-) Cheers Ron
