Please find attached a press release about the shortlist for the inaugural First Graphic Novel Competition.  Judges include novelist Ian Rankin, cartoonist Steve Bell and graphic novelist Bryan Talbot. 

The winner will be announced at FIRST FICTIONS, a weekend of events championing first novels past and present, jointly organised by independent publisher Myriad Editions and the University of Sussex, taking place in Brighton on 20-22 January

Also at the festival BRYAN AND MARY TALBOT will discuss their first graphic work together Dotter of her Father's Eyes.
