The programme for RDMF8, with a theme of Engaging with the Publishers, is currently being developed, but for those who wish to stake their claim on a place at this event, registration is open at http://asp.artegis.com/rdmf8. Speakers currently include representatives from the Nature Publishing Group, Wiley-Blackwell, the International Union of Crystallography and the University of Southampton. RDMF8, which is to be held in Southampton on 29th and 30th March, will follow the 40th Annual Conference on Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology. Members of this list may be interested to know about two morning sessions at this conference that are taking place under Theme 4 on Wednesday 28th March: one addresses the use of standardized vocabularies in archaeology and the other is about bridging the gap between data creation and sustainability.
