The first ever UK Conference of Science Journalists was held in 2010 (UKCSJ10) and was a complete sell out.   The success of the event led the Association of British Science Writers (ABSW) to schedule this as a biennial event to tie in with the biennial programme of the World Conference of Science Journalists.   The second UKCSJ (UKCSJ12) will be held in London on Monday 25th June at the Royal Society who have generously provided the venue for the event.

The UKCSJ12 has three key aims:
This year the capacity of the Conference has been increased to 300 to meet demand, so for those supporting the Conference you will of course be able to make direct contact with a far larger group of the UK's Science Journalists/Writers and Broadcasters both freelance and staff alongside joining the debate on the future of science journalism in the UK. The Conference will also provide a great opportunity to meet the next generation of science journalists as there will be many new and early career journalists attending.

For details of this year's event and for multimedia coverage of the UKCSJ10 please visit:

http://www.absw.org.uk/news-events/events/uk-conference-of-science-journalists

You will also find the UKCSJ on Facebook and Google Plus.   Tweets will be via @absw #ukcsj12.

For further details of the support opportunities please contact me direct and I can forward the UKCSJ12 support brochure.

Many thanks - Sallie
