Feel free to pass this around to anyone in the Melbourne region you feel might suit the role. _________________________________________ Sessional Lecturer – Game Development Qantm College are seeking a sessional lecturer in game development within our Bachelor of Interactive Entertainment degree at our Melbourne campus. The role will involve working with our final year students to develop small scale projects in either Unity or UDK. Applicants should therefore be conversant with practical development in at least one of these packages, while fluency in both packages would be an advantage. As a professional college, we hire both academic and professional staff. Academic applicants should have a strong grasp of recent literature in the field, hold a +1 related qualification (e.g. M.Des or Ph.D) or be significantly in progress towards completion. Applicants who instead have extensive professional background in game development are also encouraged to apply, and should have at least 3 years professional experience, preferably with some experience of Agile development, and a relevant degree qualification. Ongoing classroom practice mentoring will be provided for the successful applicant, in a supportive environment dedicated to the academic practice of teaching, so applicants who wish to begin developing their academic teaching and learning practice are particularly encouraged to apply. The total number of weekly contact hours will be 5. Classes for our first trimester start in the week of the 13th of February, and will finish the week of 30th April. There is potential for this position to lead to ongoing work in future trimesters, dependent on performance.
