There are polycarbonate toetectors on the market - suggest that your H&S
people may best placed to source. However not sure that it will make any
difference to "warmth" and you may be better going down the line of
thermal insoles and better socks

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Keeping Feet Warm in Safety Footware (Diabetic)

Dear List,

I have a patient 22, Type 1 Diabetic (3 Years),

He is Working in the Heavy Steal Industry - With a Significant amount of
outside work.

During consultation he was complaining of severely cold feet with
sensation loss.

I am trying to source better (warmer) toe protecting footwear,

I have heard of plastic (rather than steal) inserts into safety shoes -
but know nothing of them.

Obviously I have referred him to his diabetic specialist to check for
other pathology.

Your thoughts / advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Campbell
