I prefer the current setting out of pure economics, since most replies address the whole list. I do not mind the occasional false reply, because it really does not happen all too often. It's not that we get bombarded by them, or do we?

The argument put forward for the present setting was it made sure that it kept discussions going on the list, rather than them quickly defaulting to an off-list discussion between two people. Sure, it can catch people out if they don’t check the To field where is says Metamorphic Studies Group.
I can certainly change the setting. Anyone want to speak up for keeping it as it is? Send comments to the entire list, or if you want to just express a simple preference for one or the other then e-mail me direct.
