Post Graduate Certificate in Socio-Legal Issues of Childhood is now is now being offered by the Centre for Rural Childhood, Perth College University of the Highlands and Islands. Full details of the Centre can be found at: www.perth.uhi.ac.uk/ruralchildhood
The course is offered exclusively online, supported by staff from the Centre for Rural Childhood. Explores contemporary issues and research methods with children, underpinned by the 1989 UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the importance of hearing the child’s voice.
Enrolling now We are currently enrolling students and welcome applications from suitably qualified and/or relevantly experienced people. The programme structure consists of four, 15 credit modules, delivered within a two semester cycle. Course modules may also be completed individually as part of your own Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
15 credit The UNCRC: Its Development and
Implementation (first semester).
15 credit Research with Children (first Semester).
15 credit Article 12: Listening to the Child’s Voice (second
Semester).
15 credit Contemporary Issues of Children and Childhood (second
Semester).
