For the financial year 2012-13, the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) has announced that it will have £255million allocated to 'Heritage Grants' Programme.
If you are working in archives and considering applying for the programme this year, then you may be interested in attending our training event focused on this programme.
The 'Applying for Heritage Grants' workshop will take place on Thursday 15 March 2012 at London Metropolitan Archives.
The workshop is designed for those aiming to apply to the Heritage Lottery Fund's 'Heritage Grants' programme. This scheme is currently for grants over £50,000 (from April 2012 grants over £100,000). http://www.hlf.org.uk/HowToApply/programmes/Pages/heritagegrants.aspx

Course objectives are:

 * to give participants a detailed understanding of the criteria and two round application process for the 'Heritage Grants' programme
 * to give participants confidence to complete the application form and activity plan
 * to give participants the opportunity to discuss projects proposals and begin to shape their applications

This event is open to anyone working in archives or with archive materials in the UK, but participants will benefit most from the day if they have a specific project proposal in mind.

The day will be facilitated by Louise Ray, Funding and Development Advice Manager, Archive Sector Development, The National Archives with input from Fiona Talbott, Head of Museums, Libraries and Archives at HLF. Places are FREE but limited and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. .

For booking details for this and other workshops go to http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/information-management/our-services/lottery-advice.htm

Please note that HLF programmes are likely to change in 2013 with the commencement of their next strategic planning period. Therefore we are unlikely to be running any more workshops after these Spring events until information about new programmes is publicly available.

If you are unsure whether this is the appropriate workshop for you, or would like to discuss your funding needs more generally then please do feel free to contact me directly.
