Archives Accreditation creation - storming ahead The process of creating the Archives Accreditation standard and scheme is off to a flying start with a series of fully-booked workshops being held around the country. Edinburgh was first off the starting blocks, followed by York on the 26th January, then London and mid-Wales. Workshop volunteers have found the days stimulating and challenging and are enthused and raring to go for the next step! The introductory workshops are followed by the co-creation of the scheme through an online platform from February through to April. We are keen to ensure all stakeholders (those who work in archives, governing bodies and decision-makers, funders, researchers and archives user groups) can and do get involved in this process and build on the momentum of the workshops. Anyone who has not participated in a workshop (and those who have and want to experience it again!) is invited to a Webinar - a condensed version of the workshop. Further information about the Webinar The webinar will take place 9th February, 10am - midday. It will: * Introduce participants to the aims of the Archives Accreditation scheme * Outline the research and development undertaken so far * Test the proposed principles and processes using the knowledge and experience of the sector * Introduce the next steps process that will be used collaboratively to create the standard.
